My name is Paul Forster, I am the owner/operator at At Box 9 Design. I specialize in working with individuals, entrepreneurs and small businesses. Based in Victoria BC Canada, I can deliver websites for clients the world over. I offer all of the professional services that you'll find at the big corporate outfits, but I don't have those big overhead costs to pass along to you. Box 9 is a freelance alternative. My main focus is on building, maintaining and hosting world-class websites and giving my clients the best prices and services possible.

My goal is to create the best freelance Victoria web design firm. Working from my home office, I work within an international network of independent graphic and digital designers. I can offer my clients cutting edge products and services at a fraction of what they might cost at a larger, corporate firm.

Designing and building websites is a business, but that business is driven by creativity. The ability to generate innovative ideas and coax those intangible thoughts to manifest into reality is a process that takes practice. I have been a creative person for many years. My first career was as a radio personality, later moving into music programming and television production. I have been a copy writer, a marketer and a few years ago began learning HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, and other cumperter languages.

While I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit, my nature has always drawn me back to the artistic, creative process. Over the past couple of years, my enthusiasm for web and graphic design has grown into a full-blown passion.

I draw inspiration first and foremost from the awesome natural beauty of my home on the West Coast. Of course art, music, movies & tv, architecture and more all find their way into my designs.

A few years ago, I started a new small business venture and needed a logo and a website. The process of finding a designer was fraught with indecision and anxiety.
